‘A Vanitas’ is inspired by 16th century European still life paintings that incorporate symbols of death to explore the transience of life. These pairings combine deceased animals that I encountered in my neighbourhood with photos that I captured of summer flower blooms in west end gardens.
These photo collages were printed at Image Foundry and exhibited at Hideaway Studios in the Junction Triangle in 2025.
