GOLDEN MIMOSA SYMPHONY

Mom at the grocery store - summer 2022. She died at the end of the same year from a life ending cancer.

ABOUT

Golden Mimosa Symphony captures the complex inner lives of women, as an exploration into the feminist landscape of documentary and breaking ground for more intricate and difficult female-centered stories to be told in a new way. This story draws on many approaches to study mother daughter relationships; the Japanese philosophy of ‘Wabi-sabi’ that explores the beauty in imperfection, and art making as a therapeutic response to disappointment and healing .

My filmmaking practice is guided by feminist care ethics and experimentation with cinematic shape and form.
